We purchased 5 rolls of this product. Placed over new grass and flower seeds. Kept the soil moist as it said it would. Removed the straw from the new grass and placed it over new seed. Lost very little of the straw, but will probably not be able to use it a 3rd time. Once we found the end of the roll, laying it out was a breeze. We will be purchasing more of this in the near future.

Poor quality compared to what used to be sold.

Disappointed compared to what was sold in years past. In 2 rolls in my opinion there wasn’t 2 flakes of straw, mainly netting. Very little straw to hold moisture and aid germination. Areas I used bled straw did much better .this product is below tsp normal standards

Dangerous--does note biodegrade

This blanket does NOT biodegrade quickly and is a hazard to kids and wildlife. I've found trapped snakes and birds in this stuff. It is deadly. DO NOT PURCHASE OR USE. It shouldn't be on the market

Dangerous to wildlife

Product is dangerous for native wildlife. I used this product to plant a grass path along a trail in our wildflower garden. A large snake went underneath the mesh material and got stuck to die a slow and brutal death. Buyer beware.there were turkey vultures trying to get at the dead snake, and out of fear one of them would also get caught in it, the material was removed and discarded.
No, I do not recommend this product.
