The Ergodyne Skullerz 8974V Class E Safety Helmet with Visor Kit includes the 8974 Class E safety helmet and 8991 safety helmet Visor. This 6-point suspension safety helmet provides heavy-duty yet lightweight and comfortable head protection to shield the front, back, top and sides of the head from falls, dropped objects or bumping into stationary objects. The compact safety helmet design increases all-over impact protection and improves visibility, and a chin strap ensures the helmet remains secure to the wearer's head upon impact or sudden movement. Meets ANSI standards.

  • Suspension and shell design is compliant to EN 12492 side impact testing requirements for improved all-over protection
  • Easily mountable visor with permanent fog-off, scratch-resistant Tena-Coat and UV protection for increased eye safety
  • Chin strap secures the helmet in place upon falling or sudden impact/movement
  • Includes a removable hard hat sweatband and top pad made of breathable, sweat-wicking, odor-resistant and machine washable materials
  • Safety helmet has a compact shell design that increases visibility, particularly when looking up
  • Flexible open frame and 6-point suspension improves air circulation
  • One-handed adjustment knob pivots to improve fit and clear bandana or ponytail knots
  • Integrated patent-pending headlamp slots on front and rear for use with the Skullerz hard hat LED light (available as an accessory or with the 8974LED)
  • Safety helmet fits most heads (hat sizes 6.5 to 8 / 21 in. to 25 in. / 53 cm to 63.5 cm)
  • Testing meets ANSI Z89.1-2014, CSA Z94.1-15, Type 1, Class E, EN12492:2012 4.2.1.2, 4.2.1.3, 4.2.1.4, 4.2.2, 4.2.3, 4.2.4, EN397:2012+A1:2012 5.2.1, 5.2.4 and 5.2.5
  • Ideal for anyone working at heights or needing a climber's helmet, as well as construction and utility job sites, oil and gas, road work, forestry, mining and general site work
  • To pass the military standard, safety glasses must withstand a steel projectile shot at 660 ft. / 201m per second which is 4 times faster than the Z87+ standard

Built-in Visor is the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this safety helmet with the built-in visor to replace an old hardhat that I had. This thing is so comfortable, and the convenience of the visor is just amazing. I could never find my safety glasses when I needed them, or they were out of reach when I needed them. No more! I just flip the visor down, and get to work. Love it!
