Charcoal enthusiasts, take heart! with this Dyna-Glo vertical offset smoker, you can now smoke your favorite foods with your favorite wood chips and your favorite fuel source, charcoal! Vertical smokers are ideal for capturing maximum smoke flavor, so we've included 6 height-adjustable cooking grates, with a total of 1,890 square inches of cooking space, to accommodate different sizes and types of food. The pre-installed door seal helps retain heat and minimizes smoke loss for improved cooking efficiency. Since indirect heat is ideal for slow cooking (and infusing smoke flavor), the offset functionality of this smoker is designed to keep direct heat away from the food, which helps to prevent food on the bottom racks from cooking too fast. The porcelain enameled charcoal chamber is designed to keep briquettes stacked tightly for improved burn efficiency. The removable, steel ash pan is designed to handle large amounts of ash for hours of maintenance free cooking. The ultimate party pleaser!

So first off, the firebox setups for Dyna-Glo rigs are amazing. The charcoal basket & ash pan keep your fuel burning effectively for the whole cook. Next, the amount of space on this rig is phenomenal. I have had every rack occupied with dish for a party I was hosting and I cannot tell you how easy it made the cooking experience. This is easily the best vertical charcoal smoker you can get. I have had other rigs from other brands and i can say with confidence - I will not be switching ever again.

For this for Christmas and have ruined/burnt to a crisp over a hundred dollars of meat. Temp gauge is off by a hundred degrees

I purchased this smoker 5 years ago, and it is still going strong. I love this smoker. I will have to build a new ash tray but the body is still in great shape. For the money this is a GREAT smoker.

the ease of useing it

the top vent of the smoker doesn't close all the way, the paint bubbled up inside on the first cook, regulating the heat was an issue but I figured it out, theirs a few things I would change but I'll work with it.
No, I do not recommend this product.
