Q: What is the recommended feeding instructions for joint treats and Hoof treats?
7 days ago1 Answer
- A: Feed DuMOR Joint Care Oat and Apple Flavor Horse Treats at a rate of 1 to 2 treats per day as a reward or supplement. These are designed for adult horses of all life stages, but they should not replace a standard joint or hoof pelleted supplement if your horse has severe therapeutic needs Because treats contain concentrated nutrients and calories, nutritional experts advise keeping them to 1-2 pieces daily to prevent digestive upset or diet imbalance5 days agoHelpful?
Q: Can these be given to pet cows?

- A: Feed as a reward or treat to adult horses, we do not recommend feeding off label.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: I see quite a few people asking how many of those to feed. I still don't see a proper answer. One per day? Three per day? How many pieces exactly per day? Can someone please tell me?
3 years ago1 Answer
- A: The Joint Care horse treat is not meant to be therapeutic but rather to simply complement a feeding regimen that supports overall joint health in horses. It contains nutrients such as omega-3, vitamin C and vitamin E which help to reduce inflammation and support synthesis of collagen and proteoglycan in joints. However, there are no established therapeutic levels in horses, and need may vary with the type of joint issue any given horse may have. That’s why we don’t post dosages (which in FDA’s eyes would be tantamount to making a drug claim and, therefore, illegal) . Rather, the intent behind the treats is to simply provide nutrients known to be supportive of joint health. They are yet another way to provide your horse with the most complete support you can provide in his entire feeding program.3 years agoHelpful?
