Daily Dose Equine Senior is made for the horse that needs more fat in their diet and may have some trouble chewing a whole grain product. Made with non-GMO ingredients, extra fiber and 15% fat, the Daily Dose Senior can put weight on a thin horse quickly. It is recommended that this product be weighed using a scale. Maintenance (1100 lb. horse) 4 lbs/day, Light Exercise 5 lbs/day, Med Exercise 6.5 lbs/day, Heavy Exercise 7.5 lbs/day, Pregnant Mares 4.5 lbs/day.
It is suggested that changing a horses diet take place over a 10 day period. First measure the new and the old feed for the day, then take 1/4 of the old feed away and add in 1/4 of the new feed - hold for 3 days. Then go half and half for 3 days. Then 3/4 of the new and 1/4 of the old feed and on the 10th day, use 100% of the new.
