Feed at a rate of 3 to 5 lbs per 1100 pounds of body weight per day for a horse in moderate working conditions. Always provide fresh water and forage. 2040 kcal/lb

Transition over a 10 day period by removing 1/4 of the old feed and add 1/4 of the new feed - hold that mix for 3 days; then 1/2 old feed and 1/2 new feed for 3 days; then mix 3/4 of the new with 1/4 of the old feed and hold for 3 days and on the 10th day feed 100% of the new.
