Emergency tank for Koi & Goldfish

I have a small (400-gallon) pond in my back yard, with 7 koi (about 14" to 18" long) and 34 goldfish. It was mid-December, and there was a 2" layer of ice on the pond, except where the airstone kept a vent hole open. I checked the pond one afternoon, and the water level, looking down into the vent hole, was about 12" below the ice, and the whole pond is only 24" deep. I knew that there must be a hole somewhere in the rubber liner. With all the ice and the 20-degree temperatures, I probably couldn't find the hole and probably couldn't repair it anyway. My fish would either freeze or run out of water if I didn't do something fast. I went to the nearest Tractor Supply Store and bought the biggest galvanized stock tank that would fit in the back of my Chevy Trailblazer, 8' long, 3' wide, & 2" high. It worked great. All 41 of my pet fish have survived for a month now in their new "winter home" on our back porch. They will stay there until the weather improves enough for me to dig the pond out a little bit bigger and install a new liner. THANKS, TRACTOR SUPPLY, FOR HAVING WHAT I NEEDED TO SOLVE AN IMMEDIATE PROBLEM.

I should have read these reviews before I made my purchase. I see all three of them use their tanks for something other than watering livestock. I tried to water my cows with this and what a mistake, the material is too light and the seam is in the wrong place. Worst tank I have ever used for water. We now use the tank to start baby chickens and I am back to using other brands of water tanks to water my cows.

Martinsburg store is the store ever. paid almost 4oo dollars for this thank went to pick it up and they did not have a drain plug. when i asked about it they told me they are sold separately. customer service is terrible with a bunch of young kids who don't know anything about the items they are selling.

Leaking

It is understandable that I am using this tank in an unconventional way. I am using it as a baptismal at my church which is pretty common. So maybe it wasn't designed for indoor use, but upon filling it the second time I found a pretty significant leak about 2/3 of the way down the side seam. Even if only used outdoors as a cattle water tank it would leak out to that point and have to be refilled daily.

300g oval stock tank

The shipment came with 2 big dents in the corner round part. Other then that it's well put together. Haven't tested it yet to see if it leaks but we are putting a liner in it either way so it really doesn't matter.
