I purchased one of these stock tanks last year and since then have added more Zebu cattle to my current herd so have purchased several more of this particular stock tank. Zebu cattle are shorter than traditional breeds so the water tanks I use for our Brangus cows are too tall. These smaller tanks are ideal for the Zebus. Well-constructed, easy to clean, and the perfect height for Zebus (or sheep, goats, dogs, etc.). I place two of these stock tanks side-by-side on two (2) 3 foot by 4 foot 1/2 inch rubber mats (also purchased at Tractor Supply) with another mat at the end. This keeps the immediate area around the stock tanks free of grass and wet dirt, and I place a salt block and a mineral block at the end of the tanks to encourage the cattle to take in these critical minerals.

Bought this to serve as a small duck pond for our backyard run. Dug it into the ground only to find it leaks - overnight lost about 3" or 25% of its volume, 20 gallons or so. Will try and seal but just one more chore I don't need. Would not recommend at all. Buy one of the plastic tanks.
