Q&As

1 - 10 of 182 Questions

Q: Can I fit the tarter 625 gallon poly stock tank inside this one with a good fit

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, a Tarter 625-gallon poly stock tank will physically fit inside an 8' x 2' CountyLine 700-gallon galvanized tank, but it will not be a perfectly flush or "snug" fit.Because both round tanks are 8 feet in diameter, the poly tank slides inside, but its sloped, tapering sidewalls result in a noticeable gap along the sides and top rim.

Loved it for 3 years now!

I bought this stock tank around 3 years ago and have had two great summers use of it. I saw people complaining of rust after using it. I read to coat the inside with flex seal before using and it keeps the chemicals like chlorine from rusting the metal. We did a few good coats before I first filled it up and not a leak or speck of rust 3 years later. I use chlorine all summer. I never leave reviews but this tank was worthy of one. It's been awesome for floating and cooling off and just even adding appeal to the yard. I'd buy it all over again.any day.

Leaked first fill... mixed review!

I Purchased to use as a swimming pool for my four year olds. Was very diligent in inspecting the 2 the 2 they had available for purchase. Both had a few dings and dents but not the end of the world. Brought it home and set it up the yard, that was prepped, leveled and gravel put in place just for it. Started to fill the tank and about 1/4 full... the seam sealer used in the bottom cracked open and it started to leak severely. I tossed around loading it up and driving the hour back to the store but what an inconvenience either way. Being a general contractor and a normal fixer of broken things, I went ahead and bypassed the hassle of loading it back up and returning it. Made my own repairs the following day which is far superior then the factory sealant. I am only rating it a 2 star for the simple fact that after a diligent inspection and after close to $500 dollar purchase, most average people would still have a leaking tank to return to the store after filling it a 1/4 full the first fill. Granted the quality is ok, not as well built as the Hastings tank my neighbor has, and after my own repairs it is being used as intended with my twins enjoying the pre summer fun! I would strongly recommend any own looking to purchase a stock tank make sure you thoroughly inspect the tank and last resort keep your fingers crossed! I believe I inserted well beyond the normal person and still had an issue. Like the title notes, mixed review! Because even with the cost of the tank, cost to repair and the general disappointments, my girls are loving it and that’s really all that matters to me now.

Love it!

I have had mine over 20 yrs. Some of my dogs have used it for swimming. The dogs I have now don't, but they prefer drinking out of it verses out of clean bucket. It has never leaked, and I love having the plug. If u dragon it, just screw a water hose on it and direct the water to go where u want.

Awesome help

I bought an 8 foot round cow water tank. I'm going to make a little pool out of it. The sales clerk was awesome in helping me with my purchase. I had to leave it for a couple of days, then come back and get it with my truck. They were very cool about it and in no hurry. Very pleased overall.

Yes, I recommend this product.
