Purchased the 4 way splitter to use with the 40 ton log splitter i purchased at TSC . Save your money as the splitter is a total farce and a waste of money . If i still had the box would take it back .

Works as expected, split about 10 full cords with it so far. Works best on 8 to 10 inch diameter rounds. Creates some unneeded waste on larger sizes, but that's to be expected. Easy to take off and on as needed, once you get used to when it works best.

The side splitting ( horizontal )surface is undersized and will not properly 4 way split a log. Once the vertical surface starts to split the log it pushes the log apart and the side wedges barely make contact for splitting. It was a waste of $89 dollars
