The Husqvarna 8 in. Felling Wedge is a "must-have" when felling trees. This felling wedge will help the tree fall in the direction of the notch cut by actually lifting the tree in that direction. The felling wedge is used to prevent the tree from pinching the saw (or leaning back on the saw) while making a back cut. This felling wedge also can be used for bucking trees already on the ground. Had a large oak tree fall, this wedge kept my chainsaw from being pinched while trying cut this fallen tree. Worked great no problems at all.

I loved this wedge, and think that it is the best out there. If you hit it with the saw it will cut of course, but I had no problems with this, except when I hit it with the chainsaw. Hammers into tree well, and the tree fell exactly where I wanted to fall.
