Q: After I set it up I noticed the gate did not come with the latch that is shown in the picture. It did come with a short piece of chain and a bolt/nut, but there is no place to attach the bolt and no notch for the chain.

I use corral panels for my horses paddocks - they are easy to move around and reconfigure arrangements, which has worked really well over the years. I have bought this 6' gate before and one of the older ones got damaged and became unusable, so purchased a new one. I didn't realize until we got home with it and after installing it, then tried opening it and turns out the hinges were welded on crooked. Not bent, but actually welded at an angle. This makes the gate very tough to open any wider than 30 degrees...and impossible to avoid a very angry steel popping noise. I like to open the full 90 degrees so that it lays against the adjacent corral panel and no horses can get stuck behind it. Very disappointed this error in manufacturing got past quality control.

It's a gate, goes with the rest of the panels. Lightweight enough for 1 person to move, heavy enough to take normal abuse from a horse or other livestock. The handle will pinch your fingers if you hold it wrong (between gate & where it drops). Since it hurts, you learn really quick to not put your fingers on that side of the handle. Overall a good, solid gate that I'm happy with and would recommend
