Cold Steel 3-5 in. Ti-Lite 4 in. Kris Blade Folding Knife

I bought this a while ago and I carry it daily. It's a perfect size for pocket carry. The clip secures it at the back edge of my pocket and it stays there. With the proper draw the blade deploys with authority as you draw from the pocket. My knife came out of the box extremely sharp. I was messing around with it soon after I got it. Sitting on the bed and I accidentally dropped the knife with the blade deployed. It sliced through a blanket a sheet and the mattress. The only thing I do not like is the handle. The material itself is fine, the texture is on the slippery side and if wet becomes slick. I don't recommend doing this unless you are careful but I used a file and cross hatched groves into the handle material to improve the grip. The Kriss blade is not difficult to resharpen when done properly. The locking mechanism is very good and locks up solid. Overall I love this knife. It looks different from everything else, it is intimidating when deployed and effective at cutting. It's not a box cutter. It's designed to slice through flesh. I tested it out on a raw pork roast. It easily leaves large gaping cuts.

These are some real knives son!! Unbeatable price. The blade is perfectly designed. Only foldable kris blades on the market far as im aware. I own the higher quality 4 inch plain Ti-Lite with aluminum handles as well!! Larger 6 inch Kris Ti-Lite actually looks like it has one less screw; like the other 6 inch Ti-Lite variations. (You would think, larger knife: more screws to hold it together, right?) So.. arguably the 4 inch Ti-Lite variations as of April 2023 are better build quality, and the size is practical standard for things other than self defense actually. The kris blade makes a great kitchen addition replacing many other cheap knives. It would be interesting if higher quality variations of this come out especially for the 6 inch kris, but the blade stays sharp for quite some time and is very well made and reliable. Add your own lock-tite on the screws to set. Be careful ripping this out of your pockets. The longer you own and use this knife the more you understand why it's designed the way it is. I hope to see a large and small pikal karambit from cold steel some day.
