It features a long, heavy blade made from CPM-3V tool steel blade construction, which is flat ground to produce incredible cutting power and perfect balance. And, as an added bonus, it is given an absolutely ferocious cutting edge that terminates in a dagger-sharp point.
- To further enhance its versatility and efficiency as a weapon, it sports a four and a half-inch long sharpened clip point that helps facilitate the deadly back cut, as well as a wide variety of more conventional cuts and stabbing attacks.
- The black G10 handle is as tough as it is beautiful. It is specially contoured to fit the hand like a glove and to provide a positive grip when cutting, chopping, or thrusting.

The ultimate “true” fighting knife.

Lynn Thompson is the real true legend of knives . Everything that Lynn has designed is true to its definition , unlike many other knife manufacturers who claim to have a fighting knife , yet with no guard. The true meaning of many things in our life are fading away. People like sheep follow after these false pretenses. The Cold Steel Laredo both in the 4030SS steel and the 3V steel are exceptional knives. I have been a knife collector for 15 years and I still continue to buy the Laredo often. I currently have around 5 of them. This is how good these knives are made. Trust me that you can put these knives , like I have , under a magnifying glass and you won’t find a flaw on them. The truth is that among the 13 brands that I currently collect , Cold Steel Knives are the most perfect knives I own. Their quality control is the best of the best hands down. I just wish they still made the leather sheath they use to back in the days. I truly love this knife and have the upmost respect for Lynn Thompson and Cold Steel. I am also very grateful to the new owners and how they have kept respect for the brand and Lynn. This is truly a true classic if so there ever one. Get yourself one and you will see my review become truth before your eyes as you gaze upon this magnificent work of art.
