Lynn Thompson bought the first knife that custom maker, Lloyd Pendleton ever made in 1973. Now the two friends have collaborated to produce two of Lloyd's most popular knives, they call them the Lloyd Pendleton Hunter and Mini Hunter. In fabricating these knives, Cold Steel has tried to duplicate Lloyd's work as accurately as possible. Both the Pendleton Hunter's hollow ground blade and the Mini Hunter's flat ground blade are honed to perfection. The handle's cross sections and contours match Lloyd's handmade knives exactly. For safety and durability, they have dispensed with leather in favor of Secure-Ex for the sheaths. This material won't rot or mildew and is far more resistant to cuts or punctures than leather. Whether you're hunting the Big Five in Africa, Elk in Colorado, Moose and Bears in Alaska, or Whitetail deer in the North Forty, there aren't many things that will enhance your hunting experience more than carrying and using this superb custom-quality hunting knife. The Pendleton Custom Classic is a handsome reproduction of Lloyd Pendleton's Drop Point Hunter. It has a 3.5" blade with a sharp yet sturdy point for piercing and a truly razor-sharp edge with plenty of belly. Its hand-crafted polished blade is hollow ground from 5 mm thick AUS-10 blade construction. With its tapered full tang construction and extra stout "spine" it's virtually indestructible and, in a pinch, can double as a life-saving survival knife. Lloyd's guard and integral bolster have been exactly duplicated. Precision machined from stainless steel and skillfully polished, it features a single short quillon and a unique "thumb print" on the bolster to help protect the fingers and allow any number of grip options. The handle is also a faithful copy of Lloyd's original. Featuring a red fiber liner that accents the tapered tang, and twin contoured handle scales made of highly polished black linen micarta with six stainless retaining pins. A heavy pouch style sheath is included. It's made from brown cowhide with a thick welt and sturdy stitching and is wet molded to fit each knife. It covers two-thirds of the handle so your knife is held secure and won't "pop out" inadvertently.

  • Steel: AUS-10 Stainless Steel
  • Blade Thickness: 0.375"

Canadian Skinner

For the price you can’t beat the quality and durability. I’ve had a Canadian Skinner for 20 years and it’s still my go too knife for field dressing and skinning deer and hogs.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Artic tough

38 miles south of the artic circle lies a small Inuit town.. crap don't last long here but this knife has... Going on third year hunting from skinning wolf , processing bear and many caribou.. well worth the price and now own three because eventually everything comes to an end.. hold sharp edge and tough enough to cut hard bone.. I've punished not knowing upfront this is not a throw away knife... Everything earns a spot here or gets moved to the side for garbage... This is a true keeper and even purchased the mini Pendleton for smaller game for the first trade.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good knife

It's a little heavier than I thought it would be, but is very sharp and feels good in your hand. Still sharp after skinning a deer.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Most practical knife

I have owned the mini and the regular Pendleton for at least 8 years I think.... I have punished them both without care using for hunting camping and on my ocean going boat and with ease they both perform as if they had when new.. the reason I started bringing on my boat is the handle just keeps its grip no matter what. The edge easily stays sharp and unless I crack thru a bone (yes I've done this) it can use a small touch up and keep going.. if asked it is these two along with my original srk knife I treasure the most... Plus the Pendleton have a look that you love to show off! Excellent edge retention and very very durable.

Yes, I recommend this product.
