The Chief 2 in. Bore x 72 in. Stroke WP Welded Cylinder with Pin-Eye Rod is a very versatile welded hydraulic cylinder. Its rod end comes with a drilled pin-hole and can easily be customized to fit your rod end of choice, and the base end has a welded cross-tube with grease zerk. This is a solid, dependable hydraulic cylinder for construction and agricultural applications as well as other industries like OEM manufacture of trailers, metal fabricating and waste/recycling equipment.Note: This product may require up to 2 additional days for order processing prior to shipping

  • Functionally tested and pressurized to 1.5 times the normal working pressure to insure performance reliability
  • SAE 8 O-ring ports for easy hookup
  • For use in double acting hydraulic cylinder or single acting hydraulic cylinder applications
  • All seals are manufactured to US specifications
  • 3-year limited warranty
  • Piston: ductile iron with wear ring
  • Gland: ductile iron, screw-in design with wear ring
  • Tube: precision honed steel
  • Rod is hard chrome plated and rod end mount is rod eye drilled for durability
  • Base end mount: steel cross-tube with grease zerk
  • Tube seal: Buna O-ring with Polytemp hytrel backup; rod seal: deep polypak with B lip design
  • Rod wiper: Urethane, snap-in
  • Piston seal: Hallite 755 provides prolonged wear resistance with wear ring

Single acting …not really

a year ago
The cylinder clearly states that it it can be used as a single acting or double acting cylinder. Since pictures don’t always depict the actual product, I was thinking that it came in a single acting form. However, it does not. It’s double acting, and if you use a vent/valve, it voids the warranty and shortens the life of the cylinder. Basically bad advertising. Disappointed and dissatisfied.

Has a stupid port instead of having the same NPT threads like all the hoses and fittings at TSC. Wasting additional time and money looking for NPT to SAE adapters.

Cylinder was awesome. But we had to weld a cross tube on the end to make it work. Would have been great if they came with the cross tube already on there.
