I bought my small farm 6 years ago. I needed to fence the property in, I was on a strict budget. I bought these treated, 3.5/6.5 posts. I didn't know at the time of putting up fencing but a good part of the year my property turns into wetlands. These posts sit in mud and water until the land dries out. 6 years in the ground and these posts are just as strong. The only insect that seems to be interested in them are carpenter bees but we all know treated or not these bees are determined to bore into wood.

The last batch I bought didn't have a tag on the end with the treatment specification. I used my chainsaw to saw off a piece and it didn't look like the treatment penetrated very deeply at all.

I used these posts to build a fence 4 years ago and over half of them are rotted off right at ground level. The fence is on a ridge not wet ground. VERY DISAPPOINTED !!
