Q: Rims come with a 4.5" and a 5" bolt spacing. So, saying it fits a five bolt pattern does not tell if it fits any rim. Does this fit a 5" spacing on a 5 bolt pattern?

Good item, mounts however you need it

Good product, solid made, many options for mounting on any part of trailer and different orientations to meet your need.
Maybe a little over-priced, but then what isn't.
Would be nice if came with a lock for the spare wheel.

Good for tongue mount

Although the description states that this can be mounted to the trailer frame. Do so only if the frame is a horizontal U channel steel. Frame mounting places the spare very high and outside the plane of the fender. The resulting torque from the weight of the spare will cause the frame to twist and spring.
Mounting on the tongue is best, but keep in mind that the weight of the spare is now on the tongue and hitch.

Worth it.

Do not underestimate this product. There are 3 mounting options available. I can not address the angle iron type. I do know that the tongue and tube mount work very well. Some have reported that the mount will loosen up. You should use loctite. Others have claimed that the bolts break or strip. Then you have it professionally installed. I mounted a 14 in tire with no issues. The welds appear to be of quality. One feature is that the binding plate is not just flat steel. It has 2 angle bends so that is is very stiff. It also accommodates the round tube type mount. I did switch to fiber locking nuts. 1/2 -13 are available everywhere. I would buy this again. It does cost more than other mounts, but I believe itm is worth it.

Needs lug nuts

This product serves it purpose, but does not come with bolts/lug nuts to secure the tire onto the utility trailer
