Great value, but read all the other reviews

Be sure to read the reviews, good and bad, about the other trailers made by this same manufacturer. They are regarded as good value for the money, but the final assembly and wiring frequently has problems. They ramp braces reportedly have been problems for years, not sure why they don't improve this. Good luck finding one of these, they are not stocked anywhere and take forever to get if you order it!!

    Good trailer but......

I've owned one of these since 1997. It has hauled hundreds of cars, tractors, loads of furniture, etc. I guess I can't complain. But I will. The paint on these is best off sandblasted away and replaced with real primer and paint. Look underneath... On mine there was plenty of bare metal. I tossed the mesh ramps years ago, they aren't for the loads I used to pull. Perhaps they'd work if you don't haul cars and heavy mowers or tractors. Rewiring is a yearly task with these, unless you go big and put conduit and heavy gauge wire in. Tail lights are disposable and not protected. But they are cheap. And the wiring is all suitcase connectors IE Scotch Lock splices. That doesn't last long in the Northeast. 6 months maybe? I got brakes on mine, both axles. Another poorly wired electrical circuit, and the axles crushed the wiring within a year. They are good brakes when they work, well worth putting some effort into moving the wires to a place they won't get hurt. I don't know if you can special order a trailer with brakes anymore but they do have brake kits in the store. My jack lasted about a year. Best to replace it when it wears out with a removable socket mounted jack and store it away from the weather. Set the tongue on some hardwood blocking, and it will be a little harder to steal without the jack. The stock jack might last much longer if you take it apart and get some grease into it before it gets rusty. I didn't. If you don't mind doing some work it can be a great trailer. Mine's lasted almost 20 years and that should count for something! Mine's getting a little more flexible and twists more easily than it used to. If you have uneven loads that might be a concern. Just don't expect this or any other trailer in this price range to be trouble free for decades. And for pete's sakes --- don't loan it out.
