It has been over 100 degrees for about 3 weeks. The only things still living are okra, peppers, and these tomato plants. All other tomato varieties have succumbed to the relentless heat. The plant that is thriving the best is on the patio and gets only 2-3 hours sun daily, bright light all day. It is still blooming and setting fruit. I was a little skeptical at first, but we have decided that this is one of the most flavorful tomatoes we have ever eaten. Throw some into fresh spinach tossed and cooked in some olive oil...fresh ground black pepper and ground salt.

Surprisingly productive! I grew them in 5 gallon buckets and did very well in mid-west summer. They were huge and tall. They performed better than the red pear tomatoes. Chipmunks and squirrels seemed to not care about them. Mid flavor, great in salad and eat them as is. They produced so much that my co-workers and neighbors got tired of them. I did end up dehydrating them and stored them in freezer for later use. I also pulled them green before first frost and they did okay to mature indoor during fall/winter.

I was not expecting this be as high producing nor as huge as it got. The fruit was so tasty and amazing in salads and pasta dishes

These are my favorite tomato and produced log, strong vines that grew 11ft tall! I grew 6 of them in a bags of dirt and they flourished. They grew along a muscadine vine and climbed with it. I bought again this year and have a total of 8 tomato plants (2 yellow pear)! I hope this variety continues to produce amazing amounts like it has in years past. I live in Fortson, GA where we have a hot, humid summer climate in an 8a zone, and they produce well in every year.
