We needed something the squirrels couldn't chew through, have spent so much wasted money on plastic containers! I just wish they made it in a larger size, it is perfect otherwise!

Good solid can. However I bought this because it's rated to hold 40lbs of bird seed. It will NOT hold a 40lb bag of black oil sunflower seed. There is about 10lbs left over so you have to have something else to store the rest of the seed in. Honestly if I had it to do over again I would buy a bigger metal teash can

Great little can

I now have three of these cans. They have a great seal so the birdseed stays dry and I keep them outside, so none of the critters can get into the cans.
I also use one of the cans for my garbage can. The size is perfect for me and with the fantastic seal there are no seeping odors that a regular garbage can does not do.
