- A: Bekaert produces several types of Barbed Wire but only standard Agricultural use types. The wire you are referring to is Concertina Wire and Bekaert does not produce this type of wire.a year agoHelpful?

Works quite well

This product (and other brands with similar characteristics) has more than met my needs. Before purchasing I researched the breaking strength since was concerned about the lighter wire gauge. Overall it has the same breaking strength as the tradition 12.5 gauge yet less weight and significantly easier to install (reduced need for stretching). Like any hardened steel product, it has more spring and can be brittle if over twisted (which is seldom needed) or hit with a hammer when attaching to a post with fencing staples. Since the original purchase I've installed 3000 ft or so of 5 strand fence and never had an cow or bull come through it.
