Powdery similar to diatomaceous earth.

TSC didn’t have the other barn like in stock so I tried this brand instead. Very comparable to diatomaceous earth in powder consistency. If that’s what you’re going for, then it’ll be 5 stars. But for me who’s tried and true to the other barn lime and really like the product and the consistency of the material. It gets a 1 star from me. Hopefully they run both brands for choice, but don’t get rid of the brown and blue barn lime.

Very fine barn lime!

This is very fine and because of that it spreads and lasts longer. I use this in addition to Stall Dry to dry and deodorize wet spots in my sand arena and has really helped keep the ammonia smell at a minimum.
