This was my first pair of Ariat boots and I am disappointed in the construction. I've had them about a year and a half and have maybe worn them 15 times. I put them on this past weekend and noticed the black material on the toe cap has cracked in several places. These are not boots that are worn for work or hiking, just for everyday activities. I think the toe cap material needs to be changed to something more durable.

One of the few choices in a wide 9 size

Extremely comfortable, good looking and wears well. I am very happy with all aspects of this boot but for one issue. I find that the synthetic toe and heel material is less than adequate. The heel and toe material deteriating and falling apart. The rest of the boot is quite durable. Other than the toe and heel material, the boot leather looks great and wears well. I'm retired and boot is worn daily but not abused by heavy work.

Ordered these for Husband, he says they fit well and practically no break in time. He prefers a line man style boot and these are the closest we can find without paying hundreds of dollars. This is the second pair he's had this exact same area boot and he really likes him, but sadly they don't hold up very long. Probably about two years tops.
