A great purchase

I needed a good pair of riding boots, I ride Western and cowboy boots are very nice but they are very uncomfortable to me. I want to thank everyone for their very nice reviews of this boot, it helped me determine which boot to pick out. I went to Tractor and Supply and just to be sure, I tried on just about all the riding boots and the fatbaby's(very nice) which were uncomfortable for me, rubbed my ankle. It is very hard for me to find a good riding boot since I have a hard to fit foot(have been horse riding in sneakers which I don't recommend). After trying on just about all the cowboy boots, fatbabys, etc., I couldn't wait to try on the Ariat Ladies Terrain Boot, and I thought wow! these are it, what a difference from all the other boots I tried on. Now I see why there are so many nice reviews about this boot, and here is one more. They are light, they don't pinch your ankles like cowboy boots they are comfortable around your ankle, and yes you can use them for horse riding and hiking, which is wonderful, you can't hike in cowboy boots. I will send a note to the manufacturer so they will keep making these boots. It is not often you can find a boot that you can hike and horse ride in, I do both, so these are perfect!

Didn't Hold Up Very Well

I love Ariat boots in general, and these were very comfortable and fit well. I wore them every day for chores, etc., and they were great. BUT, in less than 1 year's time they were both torn right where the rubber meets the leather by the big toe on each shoe.
So while I loved them, I did not buy them again as I think that is an awful lot of money to pay for a pair of boots that fall apart in so short a time.
I was somewhat disappointed.

Great riding boot

Boot feels very comfortable right out of the box. It is roomy in the toe area. I did notice my ankle was uncomfortable a bit when I wore them for the first time so will wear them a few more times to be sure. All in all it seems very comfortable and a great boot for riding/light hiking.
No, I do not recommend this product.

RIP Terrain boots

I wore Terrain boots, VentTek and waterproof depending on the season, for several years, as have many of my working equine-adjacent friends. I wanted another pair and was distressed the VentTek version was no longer available, but I took a chance.
The good:
The fit is still the same. I love the generous toe box.
The bad:
No VentTek.
The rands are not cleanly finished
The worst:
My older Terrains had uppers of excellent, oil-treated leather. This pair has stiff, low quality split hide. Bad move.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Perfect for Riding

I have problem feet and it's tough to find a boot that works for walking and riding. This boot gives my toes room without my foot sliding around. Comfortable even through a two-hour trail ride. And I like the way they look.
