DuMOR Rumatel Goat Dewormer is used for the removal and control of mature gastrointestinal nematode infections of goats, including Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia (Teladorsagia) circumcincta and Trichostrongylus axei. It's formulated with Rumatel (Morantel Tartrate) and comes in a pelleted form for convenient consumption. A measuring scoop is included for accurate dosage. This dewormer is safe to give pregnant and lactating does. Comes with 3 lb. of concentrated dewormer.

Wheat middlings, soybean hulls (20% max), calcium carbonate, molasses products, propionic acid (a preservative)
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Feed as a single therapeutic treatment at 0.44 grams of morantel tartrate per 100 pounds of body weight. Fresh water should be available at all times. After medicated feed is consumed, resume normal feeding. Conditions of constant worm exposure may require retreatment in 2 to 4 weeks. When used as a top dress the medication as well as the underlying feed should be evenly distributed. 4 oz. MEASURING SCOOP ENCLOSED. 1 Level Scoop per 50 lb. Body Weight. I am fairly new to goats. Noticed my goats had slight diarrhea. I had not modified their diet so I suspected worms were causing it. Picked this up at my local TS store in Hanover Pa. Fed according to the instructions. My goats ate the pellets straight (not mixed with any other grain). Within two days the diarrhea was gone. Product comes with an easy-to-use plastic measure. Problem solved. Thanks Tractor Supply. Hank, Dolly, Loretta, and Patsy all thank you too ;)

Not all goats will eat this, making it useless.

I have used pellet de-wormer for horses and cows, and they always love it (it is usually has a high alfalfa percentage to make it appetizing.). This pellet de-wormer does not seem to taste appetizing to the majority of my goats. Out of 17 goats about 3 of them ate their dose without any trouble, another few more ate their dose when I added sugar and molasses. The rest of them either did not touch it or ate some of it without finishing the dose. From this experience, I would say about 30 percent of goats will enjoy this product, the rest you will have to figure a way to make them eat it. I had to lock each goat up with only their cup or two of pellets until they ate the rest (some never did). It is very important to get the entire dose of worm medicine, or you will wind up making resistant parasites. I wound up having to purchase a different product to make sure my goats were de-wormed.
