Can't believe I'm writing a review for a rake... I've broken 2 of these now. Maybe the job is too demanding. I typically use it to rake grass piles into the woods that I toss over the fence from my mowers grass catcher. Approximately 1 bushel piles. About 8-10 piles per mow. Both of them that I've owned in 3 years have snapped in the webbing during regular use. Then I have to try to finish the job with the floppy remnants of the rake. It's always been stored in a climate controlled garage, so UV and temperature embrittlement shouldn't be a factor.. Maybe I need something heavier duty. Still feels like a nice rake when it's intact.

I only review an item when it works as good or better than advertised. This rake works great , and basically eliminates the big bug-a-boo with leaf rakes --clogging of the tines. In first use for an hour it NEVER clogged. The two-tiered tine system just plain works. Kudos to Truetemper for making a real innovation in leaf rakes.

I took a video, while raking with one hand, to show my dad how easy it is! This rake is awesome!

Great advantage of the steel tines is that the shape, second row, and material mean, so far, that the tines do not get clogged with pierced leaves. Cost is very competitive. . Only con is plastic blade material needs to be better grade. More expensive.
