Well-built small-area cultivator
I bought this little cultivator to prepare small bare areas in my lawn for re-seeding. It works great for this purpose. It is well built and does a good job

Absolute junk
Only got about 20 minutes of use it of it before the metal snapped off the arm holding a set of the cultivator teeth. Was only using it on soil, no rocks,
no sticks, no hard clay, just grass and dirt. Missed my return window so I guess I'm out of luck.

Poor quality

Snapped on the first use with some normal pressure applied. Product is poor. Products like this shouldn’t be sold.

Priced at a reasonable price point
I surfed the web high and low for a cultivating device like this. Every other retailer in the US is charging $15 more for the same item; my reason for going with TSC. Plus, I have a Hometown Heroes Good Neighbor account. Although I've never considered myself a hero, I was just doing my job.
From my hands-on experience, I found that it is best to hold the devices handle close to the ground to properly dethatch. Which by the way does an excellent job. Occasionally the tines get bound up with thatch and rocks. Where the user would need to manually remove, which can be a chore. And if you are impatient (like some of the other reviewers) the tines are going to break.
I used to have an Agi-Fab 48 inch pull behind a lawn tractor dethatcher, which worked GREAT. I believe that I purchased it from TSC about 20 years ago, and it never broke. Was downsizing a few months ago and sold it. I regret that decision now.
