It must be plugged into a 110V AC outlet to charge other batteries. - A: When your battery has been unused for long periods of time, the battery will be in a deep discharged state. The battery reconditioning function is to recover the battery from deep discharge and help the battery last longer. When the battery is fully charged, the charger will automatically determine if the battery needs to be reconditioned. If the battery needs to be reconditioned, the Battery recondition LED will light up. When the light is off, that means battery reconditioning is completed. - A: Only 14.4V (+/- 0.5V) Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Batteries can be charged with this unit. Do not select a charging rate ABOVE 2 AMPS so as to extend the life of your battery. If Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Battery voltage is under 10 volts, it is not recommended that you use this charger as the battery may be damaged.a year agoHelpful?

Won't charge dead battery

If your battery is completely dead, this will not charge it. To charge the battery on my RV or a truck I rarely drive, I have to put jumper cables from another battery to trick it into charging. It says my cables aren't connected if the battery is dead. This is not what you expect from a battery charger.

Lasted less than 1 year. Used 4 or 5 times maybe. It's really sad when my old charger from the 1990s outlasts this one.

Not for ATV

I purchased this for use on an ATV battery. When i connected the charger to the battery, it instantly reverted to 6v even though i have a 12 volt battery. I could not get it to change over to 12 volt. I returned the charger and got a straight 12 volt charger and am able to charge the battery just fine.
