They changed the zipper so the medium fits like last years small. It’s much harder to put on and they might just get trashed. I got the medium to make it easier to fit over my leg braces. My tough one size small half chaps that I bought last year have a heavy duty zipper with a pull you can actually grab. These are VERY DISAPPOINTING.

I purchased the incorrect size, so had to return them, but was impressed by their construction and apparent sturdiness. Zipper worked well. For my calf size, the height heel to knee was a little long, so these might not work well for shorter women in larger sizes. The sizing chart seems accurate, but the neoprene is less stretchy than I expected, so size up if you are right at the upper limit of a size. I ordered online and returned at a store. Great customer service.

Bought these for a riding trip in the Andes of Argentina. I didn't want to spend a lot and I liked that they were neoprene. The Fit was great over several different style of boots. They fit over the Ariat Terrain boots. I was worried about that. Because those boots are pretty thick. I ended up wearing them with the Kerrits Woodstock barn boot and they were perfect over those as well. They fit snug and did not sag during our 7 hour trail rides. I think the Neoprene helped keep my legs warm too. I rode about three 7 hour rides in them and they held up for that. I usually wear tall boots for lessons, but I'll keep these for a back up.
