The pre-shaped design allows these half chaps to mold around the contours of your lower leg for a close, comfortable fit. The breathable mesh calf features synthetic suede over the top of the foot and on the inside of the calf for better grip. They come complete with a "Quick Grip" top strap, full-length zipper, and snap closure at the bottom. The lightweight, flexible construction allows for comfortable movement in and out of the saddle. Reinforced grip areas help provide added stability and contact while riding. Designed for convenience and everyday performance, these half chaps are a practical choice for schooling, training, or trail riding.

Q: How do u measure for these chaps? Do u measure around the thickest part of your calf? Mine measure about 14 1/2 inches. I assume I need a large, right? I don't really understand the length, or that other number exactly. Do they cover knee, at 17 1/2"?

Okay but snaps come off

These half chaps are definitely much cooler in hot weather compared to my leather chaps. They fit well to the leg and are pretty comfortable. Surprisingly, they weren't way too long considering that I have short legs (I'm 5' 1" for reference). However, the bottom snap on one of them came off the 3rd time I was putting them on. They are still usable but I had expected they would have lasted a lot longer.

The medium is tough to put on, and the large is way, way bigger; drowns me. I am trying the medium but I am worried they won't last very well- they feel like they will rip easily when unsnapping.
