So far my experience with this mower has been just OK. There were times when it bogged down quite a bit and I had it on the highest setting and there were a couple times. It was hard to start.

For the money, this is a good value. It cuts well and the self-propel system makes it feel very light (compared to my old mower where it failed). Cut quality is good - nice and even. It has had no issues with starting so far (but it's only been a couple of months). Mulching is OK at best: it only cuts the blades into 3-4 smaller pieces rather than small bits (my old mower practically made a paste). Has some trouble with mulching high grass, but no more than others. The side-discharge chute alleviates this for tall stuff that doesn't need bagging and it'll go through a jungle then. Engine occasionally sounds like it's going to stall out, but never does. Adjusters on wheels for cut height could be better. They are stiff all around, and the back ones are hard to see and get quickly covered in grass. Hollow wheels can trap clippings and random stuff in yard, and will wrap long things around the axle necessitating stopping and pulling it out. Build quality seems good, but the sticker on front is clearly off-center making me question how good quality control at Mexico plant really is.
Yes, I recommend this product.

To improve airflow and reduce clumping, try mowing dry lawns, walking at a slower pace, and raising the deck height to cut less grass per pass. This keeps the blade speed high enough to clear the discharge chute.
