Perfect for areas that dogs run bare

This mesh suits my needs, especially for the price, and I bought multiple rolls, but there's a couple of things that make the end result less satisfying. Once I laid the first roll, I let it rest for a couple of days to see if there are any problems with it uncovering over time. None were shown, and I laid the remaining rolls with a small overlap along the edges and secured those by garden staples. Despite me applying a bit of stretch when laying, somewhat warmer days came, and the mesh pieces started bulging up. So instead of a neat smooth and level carpet I got a number of parallel raised mesh lanes running over the area. The second thing is loose strands on the edges. Despite this product is not steel but plastic, it turns out it's still prone to all the same problems. When stored vertically, the mesh edges fold inward and outward under weight of the roll. Once unrolled, the edges can present danger for users, or at least give some inconvenience. So to rectify this, I needed to go along the edges with a heat gun and fold them back to the level position, sometimes a few times for the same spot. This caused burning the lawn underneath and breathing some fumes from melted plastics. Not sure how harmful these are for my health. Other then that, it gives a good extra support for the caster wheels on my wire shelf which I was buying it for.

The mate is working well to give us traction in slippery areas and protecting the grass allowing it to grow.

Easy to install, strong. Has held new sod in place after 5 inch rain.
