The Sure-Fit 1-3/4 in. Galvanized Barbed Staples are a PolyPlus (non-electric) coated wire fence accessory. These galvanized fence staples help to prevent rust staining while providing ideal high-tensile fence attachments to your wood line and end posts. These double barbed fence staples have a length that allows an eyelet-style opening for easily sliding material through. This is essential for permitting proper adjustment and tension of the high-tensile coated wire. Each box contains 1 lb. of fence staples (approximately 52), so you don't need to worry about running out while on the job.

  • Double barbed fence staples are galvanized to help prevent rust stains
  • Long fence staples allow eyelet area for coated fence to pass through

Soft and bend easily; barbs are ineffective

These staples require a heavier hammer to drive at all. Even then they are difficult to drive in straight and tend to splay out and bend over in treated wood. The barbs do nothing to keep them in - I had to remove a number that bent.

Once they go into the wood, they don't come out. Great for when animals run their backs along the fence, the staples don't give way.
