Automatically turn on and off your pump using the Superior Pump Vertical Float Switch. Designed to work with many pumps, the universal design works great with most sump and utility pumps. The switch features a non-mercury activated switch attached to a 10 ft. SJOW water resistant power cord. Package includes 1 vertical float switch, mounting bracket, and clamp. 120-Volt - maximum pump running current: 10 Amp.1 Year warranty

Q: How far does the float have to travel to activate the pump?

- A: Determine desired activation level and pumping range as shown in Figure 1. Pumping range can be adjusted by moving the float stop up or down the rod Figure 4. 2. Insert hose clamp through slots in mounting bracket as shown in Figure 2. 3. Position hose clamp around discharge pipe with bracket gripping tabs against pipe. Cable should remain outside of hose clamp. 4. Tighten the hose clamp securely. 5. Secure pump cable and switch cable to discharge pipe as shown in Figure 1*. 6. Plug the piggyback plug into a grounded outlet, then plug the pump into the piggyback plug. Refer to Figure 3. 7. Check for proper operation by filling the pump basin with water. Make sure the pump operates at the desired levels. Make any necessary adjustments at this time.5 years agoHelpful?

Very Versatile

I originally purchased this universal pump, but as I was installing it I noticed that it was the same pump I was replacing. I was able to slightly modify it to mount directly on the original pump using the old bracket and now it works great.
