Solar doesn’t appear to work without battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi, love this replacement for our solar water fountain but noticed that when in solar mode the water doesn’t turn on to run only during the battery mode.

Works great for a challenging solution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the "Solar Pump and Solar Panel Kit With Battery Pack and LED Light, 65 GPH, 47-Inch Lift" to flow water through an antique porcelain sink. The pump is in the porcelain base of the sink and acts as a reservoir. The pump is attached to a tube the feeds antique faucets filling the sink. The drain is piped back into the reservoir forming a water loop. The pump and kit works great for this challenging solution. Question: Can I piggy back another solar panel on to my existing panel? I would like to have one panel face south west and panel another face south east to get more hours of operation.
