this product used to be great until they changed the bate it used to smell strong and that was good as the flys could smell it but not it does not smell and the fly's fly right past it!

Not effective for me this year

I have used several different brands and kinds of fly traps like these, always with great results. I thought I'd give this design a try. I hung it very near another brand (Pop Up) and the other bottle got filled with flies, while this one only attracted about a dozen all season. I also found it harder to handle. I spilled some of the nasty water on myself while flipping it to hang it.

Did they change the formula? I been buying these every year to hang in my dog kennels to catch the flys and they have worked amazing in the past, they been up for almost a week and have 3 flys in them but I can see hundreds all over the ground, gonna have to find something different

Don't buy

I've used the Trap & Toss by Starbar for many years. As soon as the fly attractant is put in the water, flies congregate & get caught.
I hung 4 traps in various locations on 5/21/24, in the horse barn & after 20 hours, almost a full day, there are no flies in the traps, but
an abundance of flies still active. I clean up the barn 3 times a day, so there is no manure there very long. I feed Simpli-fly, which is a
feed through fly deterrant & I release fly parasites once a month. So I'm very diligent in managing flies. I believe the product sold must
be old stock & that it is now ineffective. Obviously, I can't return them, but would like to have my money refunded.
