Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't stink as bad as others, but works better. We have a ton of flies because of goats and my dad likes to sling dog food all over the porch. These fly traps caught a huge number of flies in the first few days and has kept them their numbers down since hanging it. Works better than another brand that I've purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead flies Bought 8 of these to go at the corners of our pastures. Put them out 3 days ago. Horses get fly spray when they’re let out and always need more spray by noon. They didn’t need it today. Smells like a mixture of pig poo, septic tank, and honey wagon so don’t place them where you’re going to smell them. Dead flies galore!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! I hang it besides my raised garden bed. I have about one and a quarter inch of dead fly it. It’s smelly but it doesn’t matter as long as it works. Definitely hang it where the sun hits directly on it. Flower baskets hook if can’t find a place that’s sunny. No flies willl go in if it’s not hot. I also added a little water in it since it evaporates much faster that way, and it is still working!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soooo Awesome! I bought these about three weeks ago and I cant believe the amount of flies. I have one horse and one dog, but i have neighbors with horses, a pig and a bunch of dogs. I dont even see one fly in my barn! i have two outside of my barn and 2 near the manure pile. My horse is happy. I also use the fly preditors as well. The bads help get the adult flies

Will this work for horseflies?

Asked by: Anonymous
Big Bag is labeled for the House Fly, Lesser House Fly, Cluster Fly, Lance Fly, Secondary Screwworm Fly, Flesh Fly, False Stable Fly, Blow Flies and Bottle Flies. If you are referring to a biting fly species, horsefly, then we recommend the TrapStik for Biting Flies or Mosquito GoClip, both of which are effective on flies that bite.

How long does this trap work. I have 4 chickens. They have a decent size coop and a 10’x20’ run area. Also, is this trap safe to use inside the coop?

Asked by: CFCFCF
It will typically last a month in areas with heavy fly concentrations. You should replace with a new trap when the bag is full, when the water inside the bag has dried out, or after 30 days - whichever comes first. And yes, it is safe to use inside the coop - all ingredients are food and feed-based.
