The SportDOG Brand SportHunter 825X is our introductory e-collar to the long-range, SportHunter family. This SD-825X model uses the smallest collar of the family while still providing up to 1/2 mile range for up to 3 dogs (with purchase of Add-A-Dog collars). Designed in the field by hunters and dog trainers just like you, the SD-825X allows you to communicate with your dog using tone, vibration, or one of the 21 levels of static stimulation. The remote is designed to be operated without having to look at it, needing only a slight movement of the dial and the push of a button to deliver a stimulation. This customizability and ease-of-use ensures your training is consistent, immediate, and tailored to your dog's unique personality.

Q: I have two hugely massive dogs, breed is Kuvasz, who are more than hard headed and constantly fight with each other often drawing blood on each other and knocking over whatever is in their way. I can’t deal with it anymore. Will this work on them?

Q: If I add a collar for a second dog, do they both operate at the same time, shock each dog at the same time or is there separate settings?

- A: What a great question! This unit is capable of handling up to 3 dogs or receiver collars. Once you add additional dogs to the transmitter then each dog is assigned one button and all stimulation/tone/vibration will then be controlled by the dial.The dogs will only be corrected if you press their assigned button so pressing one button will not correct all dogs.When hope this information is helpful, please feel free to reach out to us at the number 1-800-732-0144 if you have further questions.7 years agoHelpful?

Training Collar is Super!

I really like this collar, however I had to give it 4 stars due to the trouble I had getting the program to set. The tiny button in the back would not respond to the program change, but finally it did.

Don't buy!!

This collar is absolutely horrible. You can't hear the beep. My dog ignores the beep, vibration and shock. The battery life doesn't last. For the price I paid and purchased the extended warranty. So disappointed. My original 40 collar worked awesome. Unfortunately my Rottweiler puppy is now 150lbs. The old collar broke they don't make one to fit his neck. Just completely disgusted.
No, I do not recommend this product.

It is important to understand that the beep is extremely high pitched, as it is designed to be at a level best for our dogs hear. This does mean that it will be inaudible for some customers. We're so sorry for any difficulty this causes.
Though the beep is audible for your dog, it will not have a 'meaning' until your dog goes through enough training sessions with the remote trainer to assign a meaning to the tone. Depending on personal training style, some customers go through steps to teach this as a recall signal, while others use it as a warning before switching to static correction if their dog disregards the tone. As your dog is also not currently responding to the static, we'd love to speak with you directly to see what could be causing this and what fit and/or use adjustments might help your dog respond and understand this training tool. We absolutely want to have it working well for both of you as soon as possible. Please reach out. Our number is 1-800-732-0144, and our hours are Monday through Friday 8 A.M.- 7 P.M. EST.
