Helping Hand

Have you ever tried to lead one horse in a group out of a Double Gate and lost control of the whole situation?Animals everywhere!! Not a problem anymore with this wonderful, simple invention. Now you can have the convenience of a double gate when you require a large opening and the control of a single gate when you need it. I highly recommend this gate stop. It also holds a gate open when herding animals through. Nothing like bringing cattle to an open gate only to find the wind or the weight of the gate has closed the opening. We are purchasing one of these gate stops for every double gate on the farm. It would also stabilize single gates.

Poor Quality

I bought 6/14/16. U-bolts are low quality. One of the nuts wouldn't even go on...threads were bad. Before I bought, I checked to see if it held the gate up. Document says yes. After installed, push down on the gate and the pin slides up allowing the gate to lower. They've basically taken a historically good product and cheap it down to where it's barely functional. Naturally, they make the packaging so that once you've opened it it's tough to return. You can do better for the price. I was waiting until I went elsewhere, but fell victim to impulse when I needed some woodchuck bombs.

    Very Nice gate anchor

Well made, and works as it should. Heavier construction than I anticipated from the pictures. It was missing the washers though. They are needed. So that is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5

keeping the gate open or closed

Got a swinging 14 foot gate that we need to close once in a while, and this clamped on the round diameter of the vertical leg, and then the rod can be pushed down to secure it. Raises up easily to open the gate and swing it open and secure in the open position.
