No more flats! Slime's Prevent & Repair Tire Sealant seeks out and instantly seals tread area punctures in tubeless tires up to 1/4" (6mm). Install in any of your tubeless non-highway vehicles, including ATVs/UTVs, golf carts, riding lawn mowers, small trailers, tractors, scooters and much more. When a puncture occurs, Slime's patented sealant is carried directly to the source. The pressure of the escaping air forces the particles into the opening, where they build up and intertwine to form a long-lasting, flexible plug. Instantly, air loss is blocked and a flat tire is prevented.

Q: Will slime work in a hypalon rubber raft?

  • A: Unfortunately, it will not. Unlike a rotating tire that distributes Slime to the puncture site, the Slime will simply pool at the bottom of a raft because there is no rotation.

how to prime the pump

Several people have noted the difficulty in priming the SLIME pump. The stuff is sticky and viscous and the pump has trouble getting started. The cure is to remove the pump from the 1 gal jug. Put into a pail of water and pump. This will prime the pump with easy to flow water. Don't clear the water out. Put pump back into the jug, and pump out the water.(about 3 strokes). Then SLIME will flow.

Make sure you don't have steel wheels.

I bought this to use on my 4-wheeler. After the 1st year, I started having a leak in two tires. I couldn't figure out why the Slime wasn't sealing the leak, so I bought another gallon and put more in the leaking tires. The next day the two tires were flat again, so I removed the wheels and using soapy water, looked for the leaks. The tires were fine, but there was small pinholes in the wheels. I removed the tires from the wheels, and the wheels were full of rust! I could actually push holes through the wheels with a small screwdriver. When i went to the dealership to buy new wheels, they told me they sold a lot of wheels to people who use Slime to prevent leaks. I'm now replacing the other two wheels as they too are full of rust.

I like slime, but this gallon was leaking bad. I haven't used it yet, but the pump seems very flimsy this time. I hope the pump actually works. It took me forever to cleanup all the mess.

    Needs better packaging when shipped.

Great product! The only problem is packing when shipped. Please pack the Slime where it does not get slammed around loose in the box. Putting the bottle in a large box with a little paper only causes the paper to absorb the slime on the paper when the container is compressed like when the box is dropped.
