When a puncture occurs, Slime's patented sealant is carried directly to the puncture. The pressure of the escaping air forces the particles into the opening, where they build up and intertwine to form a long-lasting, flexible plug. Instantly, air loss is blocked and a flat tire is prevented.

Q: What happens after two years? We have an older John Deere mower. Slow leak, but just have to fill with air Will this ruin the tire after two years? Then can't put air in? I was told LONG TIME ago, this made your tire useless after using. Thank you.

- A: Maybe. Depends on the size of the hole(s). If you have a slow leak it might. As long as the tires aren't dry rotted(lots of cracks) and you have slow leaks caused by little holes or around the rim it will probably seal. It has to get in the holes yo seal. I use it on lawn mower tires an it works well. I have seen it used on 4 wheelers that are driven in the back country where there is a lot of cactus. It's great there preventing flats.5 years agoHelpful?

Worked great on a rim side puncture i created when mounting tire. Didnt know if it would work in this situation. I tried right away and it didnt came back a day later pumped it up and it held.
