Q: Can we get replacement tops or specific parts? The tops eventually deteriorated and then ripped with a snow load. We also had one collapse with the snow. Can we get any replacement parts or do we have to buy an entire garage? Thanks

Q: I never read the wind speed these garage in a box items can with stand. We are buying the 12x20 peak style. We live in the desert which occasionally gets high winds up to 60mph. If we use permanent anchors will it be enough? Also how heavy is it?

Buyer Be Aware

Its a nice unit and has plenty of room for your needs. But be a be aware it will take some time to assemble and you will need help, otherwise if you go by the instruction and some common sense, it will be a sturdy structure.
Now the terrible side...
If it sits in any part of the sun, the covering you get will deteriorate before the one years warranty, make sure you inspect before the warrant runs out. Yes, they will send you another one, but make sure you get a bit thicker upgrade.
They claim it has UV protection, but if it fails before 1 year, its cant be to great. Soon as the weather is good enough I will replace with the next better upgrade, but not looking forward doing it. Going too look for something I can spray on it, for better UV protection.

I purchased this garage in a box 3 years ago for boat storage, it has been a good shelter for the boat, unfortunately the wind took the top off the thing and I can't find replacement canopy good shelter poor replacement parts availability

Huge and tough.

I built a full deck floor for this and it has been my workshop now for over 6 years. It's high ceiling is what really transforms it into a full on garage. It's super tough and has withstood hurricanes and heavy snow no problem. I just purchased another one as I expand my shop. The outer material is really tough and deflects most light branches that fall from time to time however I would love to armored up the top somehow in case a big one drops. 10/10 this is the best bang for the buck

Great idea bad execution.

Bought this as a birthday gift for my mechanic at work undercover. Tons of pieces and bolts and nuts which was a headache but expected. The unfortunate issue is we had a slight wind storm that wasn't even very bad and it pulled the steaks out of the ground and flipped the tent because essentially it's a big solid kite. The poles bent or not repairable so essentially paid for this it lasted 5 months and then was ruined likely because there were no vents to accommodate wind in the tent.
No, I do not recommend this product.
