The Seal-Once 5 gal. Clear Water-Based Waterproofing Exterior Sealer provides protection and stability for wood that finishes and performs, as well as an oil base, and withstands harsh environments near open water. Water based, eco-friendly and ultra-low VOC ensures the product is safer for people, pets and plants and is non-hazardous to aquatic life. Formulated to penetrate below the surface, creating a flexible and breathable barrier that expands and contracts with the elements, resists abrasion, plus protects against UV fading and water damage. For use on docks, decks, fences and siding. Use this waterproofing sealer to seal and protect up to 10 years on vertical surfaces and 6 years on horizontal surfaces.

- A: Seal-Once clear sealer is not recommended for use on concrete. We no longer manufacture a concrete sealer, Seal-Once concrete and masonry sealer has been discontinued.a year agoHelpful?

- A: If you spray or roll, you must immediately brush the area you just rolled or sprayed using a traditional paint brush. It is called back brushing. Brushing is very important. The brush pushes the product into the wood for better penetration. Do not spray or roll and leave it to dry, it must be back brushed. Example of how to coat a deck or fence using Seal-Once: If you spray or roll, you must immediately back brush the area. You begin at the end of two boards. You will brush to the other end of the same two boards. Now apply a second coat to the same 2 boards. Apply the second coat within 5-10 minutes of the first coat. The second coat must be applied while the first coat is still wet. (Wet on wet application). Push the product into the wood with the brush. Spread it out evenly. Do not allow it to puddle. Best protectant I have used

Good stuff so far. Very forgiving finish that spreads evenly. Read the instructions, and don't apply in the sun (it drys too fast and doesn't soak into the wood). Wait for a cloudy day to apply! No smell that I could register, and easy cleanup. I used the clear finish (no tint) and it barely darkened the wood at all, which was the effect I wanted. And water beads on top better than any other finish I've ever applied. You can see in the photos where the water is beading on the wood that was sealed, and is soaked into the wood that is unsealed.

We had found this sealer for our new decks at a big box hardware store and ordered on line as we had several times before. It was to be delivered in 3-4 days. Almost 2 weeks later, still in “shipping delayed” and this was actually coming TO the “store” directly from the manufacturer. Being extremely frustrated, we checked TSC.com. Voila ! Arrived on schedule and very easily. Don’t know why we didn’t go there first. Lesson learned. VERY pleased with both product and service. Thank you !
