Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed & Feed2 weed killer plus fertilizer controls existing weeds as listed, and feeds grass to crowd out future weeds and build strong, deep roots. This lawn care product kills over 25 listed lawn weeds, including dollarweed, clover, dandelion, oxalis, chickweed, henbit, and purslane. Apply product to a dry lawn when grass and weeds are actively growing. It must be watered in immediately after application. Do not apply during winter dormancy period - wait until after the third mowing of the season to apply. We recommend using a Scotts spreader to apply this product. For Scotts broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 4 1/4. For Scotts drop spreaders, use a setting of 7 1/4. Do not apply with a hand-held spreader. Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed & Feed2 is for use on St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Centipedegrass, Zoysiagrass, and Carpetgrass. Do NOT apply to Bermudagrass. One 17.24 lb. bag of Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed & Feed2 covers 5,000 sq. ft.

Q: Is there an expiratuion date on a bag of Scotts Bonus S weed n feed. I purchased 2 bags of Bonus S and it had large clumps and very hard to spread. I returned one because of the large clumps and spread the fertilizer. Bonus S is not working as well

- A: Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed & Feed2 should be used within 3 to 5 years, as the control may lose its effectiveness. Any moisture that gets in the product will make the granules lump together. Product should not be used because it cannot be properly applied.3 years agoHelpful?

Here's a helpful tip: This product works best between 60-90F, outside this range weeds may struggle to take in the herbicide, delaying results. Excessive water can also drive the herbicide into the soil, making it difficult for the weeds to take it in. We hope this helps you get the most out of your product and achieve the results you're looking for.

Rid the weeds!

Still a little early to determine the effectiveness of the weed and feed. I have used Scotts products almost exclusively over the years and have been satisfied. This property is new to me, so there is much work to do.

Loyal Scotts user has Lawn decimated

We use Scotts products for decades , they have been our only source of lawn support and care. We now live on the NC coast from Long Island. We had to install St. Augustine at the water because of the environment , Dollar Weed has taken root . We went to Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed . Used exactly as directed. It's killing my Augustine NOT the Dollar Weed. It was also used on our centipede which is fine. see pic's

If you have a different type of grass like bahiagrass, bermudagrass, bluegrass, fescue, or ryegrass, this product might not be the right fit.
