- A: you will need to loosen the cap to vent. (1) Loosen the cap: Slowly turn the large black collar/cap on the spout just a bit until you hear the built-up air pressure or vacuum hiss and release. (2)Tighten the cap back down securely before you start dispensing fuel. (3) Pour: Press the red release button on the spout until it clicks, then push the nozzle against your equipment's tank lip to let the fuel flow.11 days agoHelpful?
Q: Can you use a good old fashioned flex hose on this can and put an air hole in the opposite side?

- A: Hold the container with the spout into your gas tank like you are filling the tank, but then you press down with the little red tab against the edge of your tank, and that allows the gas to flow. When you finish, just lift up on the container and the red tab will retract, which stops the flow of gas - and keeps you from spilling any!5 years agoHelpful?

A Gas Can I Can Handle

Being a senior widow, I had trouble using the new safety gas cans. Bought two that I cannot use at all before I found this one. It is small so I can lift it easily and I can trigger the safety spout so I get a good flow. I have bought three now! The only reason I didn’t give it a five star is because I still like the old fashioned kind!

This can holds gas just fine but when you pour it, be ready to clean up the mess. It leaks profusely when pouring.

Nozzle is horrible
a year ago
I bought this because I needed a small jug for my lawn mower, first time I used it the nozzle broke a spilled gas everywhere! I tossed the nozzle and used my old one. If you need just a jug, this will be fine if you have a different nozzle to use. Would NOT purchase again!

as a 60 yo it is very hard to get to nozzle to unlock...my son even has a hard time with it...avoid this and invest in better...
