Perfect for hiking or gardening. Breathable! My head doesn't get hot and sweaty when weeding the garden or going on a 10-mile hike. The interior band is adjustable, so when I'm hiking in a cold and sunny atmosphere, I can wear a beanie to keep my ears warm and this sun hat for UV ray protection. This sun hat has also found it's way to the pool and beach. Scala hats are high quality and reasonably priced
