It is not necessary to use any additional hardener, if desired a clear top coat can be applied to help provide maximum protection and durability. - A: Rust-Oleum Specialty Farm and Implement Enamels can be thinned if using a sprayer, it is not normally required for using a brush or roller. If using an air-atomized sprayer use acetone, up to 15% by volume. If using an airless sprayer for your application, thinning is not normally required, but acetone can be used up to 5% by volume if needed.5 years agoHelpful?

Bought this to paint a Box Blade. I did the prep work as instructed, remove rust, old paint, etc. then used the gray Rust-Oleum primer. The Box Blade looks new! I only used one coat of paint, didn't need a second. This paint is quality stuff. Can't wait to paint my other tractor parts.
