Selamectin, the active ingredient in Revolt, is a macrocyclic lactone compound. These compounds effectively prevent the development of adult heartworms when administered to dogs and cats within one month of exposure to infective (L3 ) Dirofilaria immitis larvae.

Special Precautions

Do not apply when your pet's coat is wet. Do not massage into your pet's skin. Do not apply to broken skin. Do not use on sick animals or those who are underweight. Wash hands after use. Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Side Effects

As with all medications, the potential of side effects exists when using Revolt. Hair loss is the most common, and this hair loss may be accompanied by inflammation in some cases. Other side effects include skin redness, diarrhea, decreased appetite, lethargy, and rapid breathing. In rare cases, seizures in dogs have also been reported.

Storage

Store below 30°C (86°F). After application, empty tubes can be placed in your normal household refuse for disposal.
