RESCUE! Disposable Outdoor Fly Trap is designed to control fly populations at the source with a lure they find irresistible. The lure pouch inside the bag dissolves and activates when water is added. Lured by the scent, flies enter the trap through the top cap and drown in the water. It catches up to 20,000 flies, and is an easy, efficient means to control flies, in a handy disposable bag.

Q: Can they be hung in the barn

1 Answer
  • A: Our water-based Fly Traps are meant for outdoor use only. While it is non-toxic, the attractant still produces a strong, unpleasant smell that you will not want to have inside. We recommend placing these traps outside and at least 20 feet away from any building entrances, windows, and areas with human activity. By doing this, you can help attract flies out of your barn and prevent more from entering in the first place.

Q: What if my dog eats a bag before I prepare it for its intended use

  • A: The attractant inside our traps is non-toxic and made of food or feed-grade ingredients. The contents do have yeast, and ingested, it can cause an upset stomach, vomiting, and possibly diarrhea. If the trap contained flies, they can carry bacteria and may add to the gastrointestinal discomfort. It's a good idea to keep fresh water available for your dog and watch them for worsening symptoms. Ingesting the plastic parts of our traps can cause other issues, depending on your pet, what was consumed, and how much. If your concerns worsens, or your dog is behaving strangely, please contact Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Safety at 1-866-767-5077. This a free hotline for our customers to speak directly with a veterinarian. We also have more information about the pet safety of our products at https://www.rescue.com/petsafety/.

These are extremely effective! Within a day of hanging them around my chicken coop, they were nearly full. I will most definitely be purchasing more! The only downside is they smell downright awful, but I think that's to be expected to successfully attract the flies.

Yes, I recommend this product.
